Two heavy timber buildings designed by Foster + Partners
Why this location?
Red Hoek Point is a new development project in Red Hook, Brooklyn designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Thor Equities. Ideally situated along the Brooklyn shore near IKEA and Fairway Market, the 7.7-acre campus is surrounded by water on three sides with clear views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan.
ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Red Hook has been a part of Brooklyn since the 1600s, and by the 1920s it was one of the busiest freight ports in the world. More recently, the neighborhood's former warehouses have become home to a thriving community of art studios, retail boutiques, restaurants, museums and nightlife. Transportation to Red Hook includes direct water taxi service, buses, and a planned shuttle to nearby subway stations.
Excellent Retail Opportunity
Red Hoek Point will include two heavy timber frame buildings with 23,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and more than 795,000 square feet of creative office space on three levels. The campus also features a public waterfront esplanade and open courtyard designed by SCAPE.
